IDEA FEST

With a view to scout talented innovators from the campuses across the state and transform them as technology entrepreneurs, Kerala Startup Mission hosts a yearly pitching event named Idea Fest. Idea Fest provides students an opportunity to present their ideas or college projects, which can be converted to a practical real world solution, in front of an elite panel and the teams which are shortlisted by the panel are offered grants based on the development stage and innovative value of their ideas.

IDEA Fest provides student innovators an opportunity to be part of a structured programme and pitch in front of the expert panel by presenting their ideas and can avail Grants upto 2 Lakhs, get Mentorship Support, Lab Supports, and other Product Development Supports from KSUM.

Eligibility for Idea Fest

• Student Innovators at stages of Ideation & Designing Stage, Proof of Concept Stage, Minimum Viable Prototype Development Stage can only apply

• Company registration is not mandatory during the application phase

• Student Innovators who have availed Idea Grant before for the same team/same product/same idea will not be eligible

Selection Criteria for Idea Fest

• All the applicants will undergo a Pitch Workshop organised by KSUM

• Those completing the Pitch Workshop will pitch in front of a panel of experts.

• Best Projects will be shortlisted

• Fund approval for the selected projects
